Robert:
I had issues over the weekend with another client (their biggest season is
right now) and did not install the NAS. Hopefully it will happen before the
day is out. I expect no problem and expect the device to deliver the same
performance my client was previously experiencing. Of course, backup will
be slower since Veritas will be reading the new device through the SBS.
This is just a workaround and should not be the final solution. I plan on
creating mapped links directly to the NAS as opposed to DFS, which would
cause traffic redirection and would require direct server interaction.
Using mapped drives on local pc's between each other (just like a workgroup)
produces performance that buries the server right now, so the NAS should do
just fine. Still doesn't solve the server isssue, but should give me some
relief.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for updating.
I am sorry for the delay due to the weekend.
How are the thing going after you installed Windows 2003 NAS?
I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
