Sorry, I figured people posting in this forum should know what the
abbreviations stand for - I'll be better next time :)
Error Messages:
http://companyweb gives "You are not authorized to view this page" to
anyone trying to view it (yes, even administrator)
I have followed Microsoft's KB829114, but was unable to complete it
because of the error: "Symantec Mail Security for M$Exchange console"
port 8081 is the mail port for Symantec as well as the port for
administering Sharepoint through the ShrePoint admin site - could not
get past that error, no solutions found
I just spoke with the person responsible for applying the updates and
working on VSS - sorry for the misinformation, but as for VSS a new
drive was added to support the VSS files as well as store SharePoint
database files (config and content) which were moved onto that drive.
The moving of the SharePoint database files was done following
Microsoft's TechNet article "Moving Windows SharePoint Services
Databases" - it was tested on a test server running a duplicate
production server.
The updates that were applied that night are now unknown to the person
responsible and do not show up in Add/Remove Programs when "show
Updates" is checked. I have list of updates installed on 3/3 and 4/17
(this all happened on and around 4/3) if you would like to review
those.
As far as the media I am using, what are you referring to? Again I am
sorry for the misinformation regarding VSS, I hope the new information
provided can help.
