Re: Outlook 2003 command

Outlook 2003 can be removed from the client applications list. I had removed
it so that I could install Office 2003 w/ Outlook instead of applying a
transform to Office to not install Outlook again.

I looked at another app.dat file and found the string I was looking for...

<app id="{CE13ED59-F99E-486d-9712-3FA02E41DBEC}" canChangePath="1"
diskSpace="838860800" refCount="0" needsReboot="0" time="15"
order="3">
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (Service Pack
1)
<defaultPath>%programfiles%\Microsoft
Outlook</defaultPath><cmdLine>"\\SERVER\ClientApps\Outlook2003\s
etup.exe" TRANSFORMS="\\SERVER\clients\setup\sbsdefault.mst" /qn
Reboot=ReallySuppress /wait INSTALLLOCATION="%location%" /Lv
"%temp%\verbose.log"</cmdLine></app>

The only thing that cannot be removed from the Client applications list is
the service packs.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for posting back.I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

By default, there is Microsoft Office Outlook 2003(Service Pack 1) in the
set up client applications wizard, So you don't need to add outlook 2003 in
the list of available applications in the wizard. If you add it,use
"\\SERVER\Clientapps\outlook2003\setup.exe",will result in creating a
shortcut on the client computer desktop.

So please comfirm with me whether you can see the built-in outlook 2003 in
the list of available applications in the wizard. If so,It should work and
don't need to add outlook 2003.

In addition, Do you mean you delete the built-in outlook 2003 in the list
of available applications in the set up client applications wizard? How can
you delete? By default,It cannot be deleted. If you cannot see the built-in
outlook 2003 in the list,Please check the c:\program files\Microsoft
windows small business server\clientsetup\apps.dat file,open it with
notepad,It defines all the applications needed to install. check if there
is outlook 2003.

On the Windows XP client, click Start, click Run, type "regedit" and click
OK.

Locate the registry key

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\ClientSetup

Delete it, then test the issue again

Have a nice day!
