I need to reboot my server remotely as I can't get in.
Can I do a rapid reboot remotely??
You can install the admin pack tools on an XP client and using the
Terminal Services Manager MMC to loggoff one or both of the
disconnected sessions. Then no reboot is needed.
...but if you are on the LAN you can always connect to the console
session; you can't be locked out of that.
True, true, but you still need to shutdown those disconnected
sessions.
....or set the TS config to override any user settings & end a disconnected
session after a while. I do that most of the time. I generally do all my
admin with the /console switch out of habit now anyway, tho.
Using TSM remotely skips the need to even logon /console
unless there is something else that needs to be done.
Let's go outside and fight this out like men.
