OK I have read past threads here and seen a lot of trouble with installing
SP2. I made the mistake of downloading it, but I haven't taken the last step
of restarting my computer. Can I get rid of this download before restarting?
My server is prompting me every few minutes with the "Updating your computer
is almost complete. You must restart for updates to take effect." Can I go
to add remove programs and remove SP2? Is there some other way to remove it?
I just don't have the time to fix a bunch of new problems. Please help....
You'll have to restart and let the system come up to complete the
install, then restart again and go into the Recovery Console. From
there you can remove the Service Pack.

There is no such thing as RECOVERY CONSOLE in Windows 2003 Server of
any kind. After rebooting, you will need to go to ADD/REMOVE programs
to remove SP2. Please be aware that there could be some issues with
your system after doing so. The other option is to restore your
system drive backup since any good system administrator would have
made a full system backup just before applying the Service Pack anyway.
