Re: Connect the SBS to a remote IIS for Internet Printing

Hi,
Thanks for updating.
I searched the ISA log, I found the communication is allowed. The problem
is not caused by ISA.
Please try the following:
To force the SBS server to use HTTP as preferred method of connection with
IPP print server, we need to implement the following registry change on the
client.Add the following value to the registry before attempting to connect
to Internet printers:
Registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Settings
Value: PreferredConnection
Type: REG_DWORD
Data Value: 0
Then try again.
If the problem persists, please help me collect the the following:
MPS Report
1) Download MPS report tool from:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.EXE
2) Run the MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.exe on the server box.
3) Wait for 10~15 minutes.
4) Open Windows explorer, navigate to
%SYSTEMROOT%\MPSReports\Setup\Reports\cab\
5) Send the .cab file to us.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)

<>
<> 2. Can the SBS Server visit Internet successfully?

<> Please take the following steps to narrow down this issue:

<> Please also help me gather the ISA info and ISA log. We need to check the

<>
<> 1. Please help to gather the ISA Info:
