Re: Mapped Drives Diasppear????

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

what do you mean with 'run by everyone when they login'?
I know the script is there but I was under the assumption that it is only
mapped to the users on the domain via the User properties on the Account or
Logon tab (cant remember where)...

But for the user Administrator I dont have anything on that tab for the
Logon Script, I do not want a logon script for it. The mapping I'm trying to
do is your normal manual drive map, but they go away after a little by by
themselves, I dont even have to logoff or restart the server.

I'm wondering if there is a policy by default that would do this????

I believe he's talking about:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\domain\scripts\SBS_LOGIN_SCRIPT.BAT

which is run by everyone when they login.

Logon Batch File? This is on the server as the Administrator. I dont have an

Thanks Henry, however I do not think this might be it. I'll tell you why.

#1. I dont get the red X on top of the disconnected drive, it is just
completely gone.
#2. I still followed the instructions on the link below but I didnt have
the
Value: KeepConn present.
#3. I did have the 'autodisconnect' value but it has only one 'f' and not
'ffffffff' like it says in the article.

This is a Windows SBS 2003. Thanks...any ideas?

ok..this is just weird and it is driving me nuts.
I opened my Windows 2003 Server box>RC My COmputer>Map Drive>Selected
the
Drive>Opened the drive>Close it>DC My Computer>I can see the drives,
including the one I just mapped>Close My COmputer>Come back later to My
Computer>The manually mapped drive is gone.

No reboot, no log off, nothing....Why would this be happening?

Thanks
