New domain is using old domain for Exchange 2000 only

New domain on Server2003 has trust relationship with old domain Server
2000. Users have accounts on new domain but use the old domain
Exchange 2000. I gave full mailbox and associated external account
permissions on each mailbox to the new domain user account. Email and
GAL are working correctly. All computers are on the new domain and
all users logon to new domain. The old domain only houses the email
server and some applications. The users have a mixed environment of
Outlook 2000\2002\2003. The problem lies with sharing calendars.
When the User A gives permissions to Calendar to User B in Outlook,
User B is unable to display the folder. The only way I can get it to
work is to give User B full mailbox access on Exchange mailbox. This
is not an option. Is there a way to work around this?
