Hi,
Thanks for updating.
You said "I do not have a FQDN but I can ping the server IP address." Do
you mean you cannot ping server's FQDN name, such as server.contoso.local?
If so, that means outlook also cannot properly resolve to your E2k3 server.
Based on my experience, this behavior may be related to DNS resolution. You
may add the following entry in the HOSTS file on each remote computers:
internal_ip_of_your_SBS_server your_SBS_server_name
NOTE: If you use your SBS server''s FQDN when you configure the Exchange
mailbox in Outlook, you may also need to add the following entry in the
hosts file:
internal_ip_of_your_SBS_server your_SBS_server_FQDN
NOTE: The hosts file can be found at %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc.
Hope the information helps.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
