in that it was handed down to the current user and when he started using it
they never created a local user. "bob", the user in question, exists on the
server as a power user, but no profile exists for him on the client. There is
a folder bob in Documents & Settings.

We haven't tried logging in locally to see if his original desktop still
exists (Yikes!) but he will do so first thing in the morning.

Hope you can shed some light on this perplexing subject.
