Re: sbs2003 R2 and second server running Blackberry enterprise

You are reading that incorrectly. You still can't install Exchange 2003
and/or SQL 2005 WE from the SBS media on additional servers. You can use the
R2 expanded CAL rights to access other servers that have separate fully
licensed copies of Exchange 2003 or SQL 2005 WE.

I had heard that with R2 Premium you could install exchange or SQL on other
licenses servers. I just checked for comments on Technet and found lots of
Microsoft expects stating the advantage of R2 was deploying on other
licensed servers.

So eula is not violated as per Microsoft.

And you can't take the SQL2005 from the premium disks and install on
another server...violates the EULA

I have a small domain for my office, sbs2003 R2 prem running exchange.
Server is Xeon but when I added BES it slowed down so much due to SQL
memory use I reformated and did not install BES.

I have a second Windows 2003 R2 and would like to install SQL2005 and
BES there but leave Exchange on the SBS server.

Has anyone comments on their experiences? Thanks.
