Re: The COM+ Event System detected an inconsistency in its internal state

Installation of Windows XP COM+ Hotfix Rollup Package 13 + as a
precautionary measure installation of the "hive cleanup service" seems
to have cleared this issue. Results were not immediate hence I haven't
been particularly quick at updating this post and I am still
monitoring the situation. Note I haven't seen this issue posted
anywhere so I regard this as a first?
If anybody in Redmond is listening, I think this just highlights the
immediate need to have a Windows XP service pack 3 (which would no
doubt be the last service pack), it's way overdue. I notice that
"Windows XP COM+ Hotfix Rollup Package 13" is not available via
autoupdate, and that there the OS speeded up significantly after
installing this patch for some reason.
Do you know of any date of XP SP3? (I would hope this be a definate,
rather than leave a lot of updates to install towards end of project
life, just like what happened with Windows 2000),
Many thanks for your help guys!
Alex
