I have vista ultimate and wish to connect to my SBS box via RWW and HTTP over RPC. This used to be okay in XpPro but I can no longer do it now that I have installed Vista Ultimate. Scanning the web came up with the following workaround in a number of postings:
Run IE as an administrator (Right-click the desktop icon)
Visit the site
Click through the certificate error
Click the "Certificate Error" button in the address bar.
Click View Certificate
Click Install Certificate
Unlike on XP, you must click the "Place all certificates in the following store" radio button, and choose the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" store. If you don't do this, the certificate goes in your personal store, and it isn't trusted by IE.
The problem is that it does not work. I cannot see the server certificate installed in the store, only those from other trusted sources.
I have tried installing the certificate in all the other available stores but same result.
I have SBS2003 premium with ISA2004 fully upto date.
Thanks
Dean
