Has anyone else noted that post SP2 install the problem of a steady
escalation of 'Memory in Use' has gone away. Our kit now stabilises at
1.9Mb, day in, day out.
And we for one have found no ongoing problems (to date) following the SP2
installation. The kit was a little flaky for the first week, but a shut down
or two solved that and now we have been running for over 20 days without a
murmer and that is not how things were!
I have seen some minor improvements in memory use with SP2, but I was not
having any serious memory problems pre-SP2.
Glad you have had good results with SP2. I have updated several servers to it
as well with only 1 problem (missing "Help and Support") for which the fix is
documented and quick. But I support very small networks (10 or less PCs),
don't use ISA2004 nor VPN, and only 1 of the servers I support is 2-NIC. There
is _no_question_ quite a few people - including other MVPs - have had problems
with SP2. What to do about those problems is gradually being addressed.
