Re: Exchange misbehaving:

I know the feeling. The last time I thought about age was when I turned 30
and that is many many moons ago!!!!!

Not all women are worried that they won't look 22 forever. Some of us
accept reality. :)

Hey guy, sry for starting a new thread i figured it was done though
and i thought it was a new issue on the word of my hosts.

No prob. You can always test this stuff yourself, though....even the
dnsreport.com site is a good start. But after that comes telnet
tests, etc.

I did see your last reply and thank you very much for your help, I
would be in a mean state by now if not for people like you and Anna
over this weekend, really! Thanks guy!

Well, I'm actually a chick, but I guess "guy" is a fairly generic
unisex term nowadays, with you kids.

I called my host armed to the teeth following yours (and others)
replies to my DNS questions. They have a habit of BS their way out
of stuff and making an issue look like my fault (normally it is so
i had to benefit of the doubt it). Not configuring these sots of
things on a regular basis does not help either because while i know
how stuff should work (text book style), they often differ in
working practice and this is where I fell down and my host took
advantage. Apparently all those issues mentioned to me by yourself and
others
are not really an issue, i dont need them. I asked my host about
them, told them to look @ such and such a site, they refused,
laughed said that stuff dont matter too much the problem is with
SBS and Exchange, even if i did configure everything correctly it
sometimes still messes it up.
I almost expected the guy to ask me to re-build the server.

....while fetching him a beer, no doubt.

Guess iim stuffed until they take a serious look @ my situation,
maybe il have to send them to this news group for an education.
Thanks again for everything and i swear to try and refrain from
posting here unless i am totally (and i mean totally) bu**erd!

Eh. Get rid of them and find another company to host your DNS. Check
out www.dyndns.com and their CustomDNS service - it's inexpensive.
You can preconfigure the zone with what you wish, and then change
the nameservers for your domain with your registrar. Hell, you can
change your registrar, too, if you need to. But you do need to get
far away from the clown show currently managing your DNS.

Thanks

Ah....it's*you*. Dude, you still have DNS problems. Did you see my
reply to your last post in the previous thread? Don't start a new
thread when the old one isn't stale yet....

Thanks!

Does anybody have any ideas as to why I can send email from
client systems via exchange but can not receive mail back?

I am a little stumped @ this, any suggestion would be very much
appreciated!

Post your domain name, & mention whether you're using the POP
connector, and whether you configured Exchange using the CEICW &
providing the domain name therein.
