The phone icon is a giveaway, though. The users wouldn't somehow have clicked on the SBS VPN connectoid, would they?

Still, try kb article 292822. You can also have a look in WINS, if there are inaccurate records delete all the records for the inaccurate devices, and restart wins. Do an ipconfig /release and /renew from the workstations.

You can also try ipconfig /displaydns and /flushdns.

Running CEICW might temporarily disconnect client machines, but ipconfig commands or restarting them should restore connetivity.

You can also check the DNS records in DNS mmc from the server. More likely it's a WINS issue though.

No we are not connected VPN or dial-up.
Can I rerun CEICW with the users logged in to the network?

This is from an affected computer I can ping. Notice it says 192.168.21, but
when I ping from the server it pings 192.168.16.20

Try kb 292822, you don't need the hotfix mentioned there, but do the
regedits.

I'd also run the 'configure remote access' wizard from the todo list, and
run CEICW again. Do an ipconfig/release and /renew from the workstations,
and see if they get a normal lan address instead of one out of the RRAS
pool.
