Please reply directly to the thread if you have any other question

following for your convenience:

Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

Please let me know the following to make the situation more
clearly:

1. Your internal domain name is mycompany.local and your Public
Domain name is mycompany.org. Is that right?

Yes, that is correct.

2. You said "The domain mycompany.org points to this
provider." Do you mean MX record for mycompany.org is point to
POP 3 provider?

Yes, the MX record for mycompany.org points to our POP3 provider.

3. Do you have Public IP,A and PTR records for your public domain
name mycompany.org?

I'm not sure what these are but our provider is flexible with what
controls we can have.

4. You said "but will eventually need to add 60 or so non-domain
simple POP3 accounts." Do you want to route the POP3 e-mail to the
domain users?

No, I would like to have separate email systems one Exchange for the
ten employees and one POP3 for the extra 60 or so non-employees.

5. Do you plan to handle all the e-mails on the new Exchange
server without the services from POP 3 provider?

See the answer from above, we would like to have the employee
accounts handled solely by the Exchange server. Then additional non-
employee accounts can be added to the POP3.

6. Do the current POP3 users have e-mail address like
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?

Yes, all our accounts, we have ten employees plus about ten non-
employees have user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me
know.

Thanks for your help,

KCJ
