Are you still under 30 days on the items??
My thought is that you paid well over a 1000.00 for the card, the drive and
tapes
For that price you could have 5/6 portable USB drives and do your backups
there...and you won't have the issues and you won't be replacing tapes every
year

I have a 2003 SBS R2 server that we put in one of these drives. It has a
adaptec 29160LP scsi host adapter with the manufacture drivers for both
units. but we are not getting consistent results 10% of the time it works
but
the rest of the time it gives me event id 111 when a tape is inserted.
According to microsoft they know about it and it shouldn't affect the
operation of the backup. unfortunately this isn't the case. it will not
continue with the backup. Any Ideas to what to do. the manufacture told me
to
call microsoft.
