Trying to attach a Buffalo TeraStation to my SBS2003 network. Is anyone
familiar with the process before I begin. I am sure the TeraStation will
require a IP address, but what processes will I have to do in server
management. Do I need to add a computer name? Any help would be great.
Just give it an IP address. It won't integrate with AD (or at least
the slightly older version I have doesn't), so you need to set up
accounts locally on the machine using the web interface.
I use ours for backups (though it isn't 100% secure as anyone on the
network can get at the backup files), and also for misc files which
don't need permissions.
Andrew.
