Hmmm, after reviewing the instructions for installing the 5 components
of SBS 2003 SP1, I wonder if I should skip the first step, which is
"Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1"? I am thinking that since I
jumped the gun and installed W2K3 SP2 already, that nothing will be
updated by installing SP1? In fact, it might undo some SP2 files,
right?

The 3rd step is Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1. I think I'll run
Exchange Server 2003 SP2 instead. If my understanding of MS Service
Packs is correct, SP2 should contain everything that SP1 has, plus
some additional updates. Or did MS abandon that logic because this is
SBS ? :)

Boy this is going to be fun :)

The ideal would have been to install SBS 2003. Install Server 2003
SP1, Install Sharepoint SP1 0r SP2. Install the XP SP2 update. Install
Exchange SP2. Install SBS SP1. After that is done install Server 2003
SP2 if you want. As someone mentioned SBS SP1 is a combination of
other service packs that are a preinstall condition to SBS SP1.
Putting Server 2003 SP2 before SBS SP1 probalby make a mess of things.http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/downloads/default.mspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/WindowsServer2003/sbs/downloads/sp1/default....

Exchange SP2 Is what I use. I skip Exchange SP1. I also skip Server
2003 SP2. I do Server 2003 SP1. I am not ready for the misadventures
of Server 2003 SP2. When the gun is held to my ead I wil deal with the
issues hoping that the bugs have been resolved by then.
