Pete,

I also administer several EPO installations world-wide. While I'm not
smitten with McAfee's scanning engine, EPO is an excellent management
and reporting tool. I use its System Compliance Profiler reports to
track patch deployment at each installation, instead of trying to
glean the data somehow from WSUS (though I'm told that reporting will
be much improved in WSUS v3). I like EPO a lot more than Symantec
System Center, which is the only other enterprise anti-virus solution
that I've used recently. Honestly, EPO's reporting capability is the
primary reason I use McAfee's security offerings.

(These days, I regard most of the mainstream AV solutions as being
equivalent in terms of quality. You could chose any of the top 5
vendors and be protected adequately.)

Best wishes,
Matthew
