Re: How do you set your IMF?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have been tweaking this for some time as well and ended up with it
set to 4/5. It seems to work pretty well. It seems a few emails per
day per server (among about 10 active email users per server) get
through to the inbox and monitoring the archives, I see about 1 false
positive per ~8000 spam emails. Additionally, that 1 is usually a mass
distribution of some sort, I have never seen an actual "user to user"
email false positive.

You want to archieve so that you may monitor what is being filtered and what
the SCL ratings are so that you can adjust your own settings. After you make
your adjustments then you can choose to reject or delete but it is best you
archieve in case legitimate emails are being filtered. It does happen.

Do you delete, archive or reject?

Download and install IMF Companion (It's free) and you can monitor the

and SPAM being filtered and then adjust your SCL ratings accordingly.
Personally myself I have mine set at 6/6.

What level do you guys set your IMF? (Intelligent Mail Filter. We just
moved
from the pop3 to have exchange handle our mail. Seems to be going
good,
except for the spam. I set IMF up this morning with setings as such
SCL of 8 and it will be rejected.
SCL of 4 and it is moved to the users Junk Mail

Like I said, just set it up this morning, seems to be good. I just
want
to
make sure I do not have it set to far in one direction.- Hide quoted text -
