Re: Vista / office 2007 - companyweb

Hi Keith,

Thanks for updating.

Please disable UAC and see if the problem can be resoved:

To do this

1. Run MsConfig from Run option.
2. In System Configuration window, click on the Tools tab.
3. Scroll down and locate "Disable UAC" option item. Click on that line.
4. Click the Launch button.
5. A command prompt window will open and automatically execute and run
certain process to disable UAC.
6. Close CMD window when done.
7. Close Msconfig.
8. Restart computer for changes to apply and effective.

Hope above information helps.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)

<Robert,
<
<Thanks for more help. I dont use URLScan so didnt need to remove it.
<
<I tried the explorer view, but when I click it, here is what happens:
<
<1) The frame in IE displays a page cannot be found error
<2) The password prompt appears
<3) When i enter my password, the frame changes to the following message :
<"This folder cannot be opened in Internet Explorer - You can view this
folder
<in Windows Explorer. To view this folder,
<click Allow when you see the Internet Explorer Security dialog box. "
<4) Windows explorer then pops up a window pointing to
<http://companyweb/General Documents and I can open the documents as normal.
<
<I also noticed when i browse to the documents using explorer view, they
open
<in word with read/write allowed. If I open them directly from companyweb
by
<clicking on them, they open as read only. Is this by design or part of the
<same problem?
<
<Thanks again for your help,
