Hi

A question about licensing virtual servers here.

Is it legal to do the following:-

Server A
--------
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition (5 cal) as a host operating system.
Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium Edition (5 CAL) + 45 device CALS used as main server (Guest OS running live).

Server B
--------
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition (5 cal) as a host operating system.
Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium Edition (5 CAL) + 45 device cals used as main server (dormant image of Server A guest OS).

So my shopping list is:-

2 x Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition (5 cal)
1 x Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium Edition (5 CAL)
9 x 5 device CAL for SBS

Each guest operating system will be set to run on two processors.

Thanks

Steve
