I am using SBS2K2 (not R2)
I installed firewall by using the wizard "connect to internet"
The service packs I refer to are the server 2003 SBS service pack 1 & 2 the software pack we purchased seems not to include any service pack.
After install service pack 1 a new Icon in Control panel is created for Firewall, but it is not accessible as it shows another application is using it
I wish to add other items in the firewall rules but can not see where to add them without running the "Connect to Internet" wizard.
Regards
Bernard

So is it correct that you are using SBS R2 with two nics but no ISA?.
You configure the SBS "firewall" by opening Server Management and
clicking on Connect to the Internet.
What service packs do you refer to? Sharepoint, Exchange, ISA 2004,
Server 2003 all have SP1 and SP2.

As the server was newly installed I decided to Re-Install
Now I am able to configure the network and set the access correctly.
However after I apply the service packs 1 & 2 I am no longer able to
change the firewall settings.
I would like to be able to change these as I use a none Microsoft mail
server within the system plus I also have different web contents for
internal and external access Internal uses port 80 external uses port 81
which is masked by the router on the outside world it is 80 but the
router changes this internally to 81 this is to make it easier to keep
web net & Intranet disconnected for security reasons.
How do I get access to change the firewall settings.
In Control panel it is not possible to open the icon as the error
message states some other program is using it.

turned it on that was wrong. You need to disable it and use the
Connect to the internet wizard from Server Management.
Post ipconfig/all from the server and a workstation to let us see if
your nics are set up correctly.

I have just installed SBS 2003 and it is now taking anywhere from 1 minute to over 6 minutes to logion to the server from any of the Windows XP Pro workstations.
Any Ideas what could cause this.
If I disable to firewall in SBS it is slightly quicker.
The firewall is needed as I have set 2 NIC's one to the local LAN the other is connecting to the internet via the WAN router, I don't want to leave disabled.
