Re: SBS 2003 VERY slow client logons

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

re-install the patch, restart twice, you _should_ be OK.

All of a sudden, after the weekend, all 14 client PCs takes 15 minutes
each
to login into the SBS 2003 server after which everything responds quickly
as
it did before. No known changes (hardware nor software) were made on
anything, except for a security patch KB925902, done on Friday night,
which I
removed from the server on Monday night.

If I unplug any client's network cable, the login is as fast as usual;but
then I have to remap the server drives, which goes as fast as it normally
would.

All updates are automatically applied, but the Control Panel/System
General
window tab does not show any Service Packs applied (as a normal Win 2003
server would have SP 1 or SP2 noted in the description).

I am hesitant to reinstall the SBS software as everything has been going
so
good for months and months.

I modified the client's registry for a verbose status on the client's
startup, but that showed nothing unusual.
