RE: My Docs access denied ONLY from apps

Hi brent,

Thanks for posting here.I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend.
Please understand that the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft
Support professionals to answer your systems and applications questions.
Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

From the description, I understand the issue is that only one user gets
"Access Denied" error message when she open a file from an application, and
the file is located in redirected my documents.Furthermore,if you access
the file by mapped driver,It is working fine. If I am off base, please
don't hesitate to let me know.

Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.what's the OS version on the client ?please make sure it has latest XP
SP2.

2.please double click a file in my documents from Windows Explorer, not from
mapped driver, what's the result? can it be opened?

3.Please logon the user to another computer with XP SP2,what's the result?
can it be reoccured?

4.Please logon another normal user to the problematic computer, what's the
result? can it make any difference?

5.can you see the green arrow on the My documents icon? this will prove the
folder redirection is applying successfully.

6.please capture the screenshot of the "access denied" error message, save
as jpg file and send to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

7. Please collect the following log files on the problematic computer
%systemroot%\System32\config\AppEvent.Evt

%systemroot%\System32\config\SysEvent.Evt

Please zip all the files and send to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I appreciate your time. I am happy to be of assistance and look forward to
your reply.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,
