Hi Keith,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup and also for KJ's input.
I am sorry for the delay due to the weekend.
From your description, I know when you try to upload a file with Office2007 to companyweb, you get a password prompt. If clicking Cancel, the
folder still opens fine without password. If I am off-base, please don't
hesitate to let me know.
Please let me know the following to make the situation more clearly:
1. Do all Windows Vista clients or some of them have the problem?
Please take the following step to see if the problem can be resolved:
Step 1: Please change the IE 7 setting:
1. Open IE 7.
2. Click Tools->Internet Options.
3. On the Security tab, click Local intranet, set Security Level for this
Zone to Low.
4. Click Custom Level, migrate to User Authentication, check Automatic
logon with current user name and password.
5. Click Trusted Sites, set Security Level for this Zone to Low.
6. Click Custom Level, migrate to User Authentication, check Automatic
logon with current user name and password.
7. Click OK.
Then please check if the problem will reoccur?
Step 2: Check the IE Sites setting:
1. Open IE 7.
2. Click Tools->Internet Options.
3. On the security tab, click Sites.
4. Ensure Automatically detect intranet network is checked.
Hope above information helps.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
