RE: Off-Line Files Issue - Client Remembers a Removed Share

Terence

Thanks for the prompt reply. I've done that but unfortunately it keeps
reinstating the E: drive which is unchecked. I assume this entry is stored
somewhere - the registry perhaps? I would be very nice to remove it
altogether.

Hello David,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you want to know how to
stop the synchronization of the no exist folder. If I have misunderstood
the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then
click Synchronize to start Synchronization Manager.

2. Click Setup.

3. On the Logon/Logoff tab, click the network connection that you want to
use in the When I am using this network connection box.

4. In the Synchronize the following checked items box, click to do not
select the check boxes beside the offline files and folders that you do not
want to synchronize.

5. Under Automatically synchronize the selected items, click neither When
I log on to my computer nor When I log off my computer.

6. Click OK to finish.

Hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

| An irritation. The server has just been reloaded and the client
rejoined.
| The client is remembering a share which no longer exists.
Synchronisation is
| only set at logon / off, not scheduled and not on idle. I've tried
unticking
| the check box for the E: network drive and deleting both the on-line and
| off-line versions of the files but on reboot or logon / off the client
| recalls the non-existant share and I receive an off-line file warning and
lo!
| drive E: has been reinstated on the client along with files that are now
on a
| share on the network D: drive. It appears to have mapped some files (not
| all) that were on the network E: drive but are now on the network D:
drive.
|
| How to stop this synchronisation please?
