Re: Outlook Messages are not leaving exchange for one user

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi,

I removed the cached credentials on the machine. Unjoined the machine from the domain to a workgroup and joined it again. Rebooted.

In Outlook is shows the message in the sent box, but no one ever gets it. Even if he sends the message to himself, or somebody in the local domain. Using a OWA on the same machine with his account works fine, can send / receive mail.

I've noticed a few more errors which might be related:

Hi Tristan,

Thanks for posting here.

From the description, I understand the issue is that a user can not send
email by outlook, but he can do it by OWA. If I am off base, please don't
hesitate to let me know.

Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.Clear the local cached credentials.

cached credential will be used when you access network resources. To
isolate the possible influence of that, clear the local cached credential.
Please refer to the link below for instruction:

How To Manage Stored User Names and Passwords on a Computer in a Domain in
Windows XP

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306992

2.if issue persists, use the account to login another computer to see if the
issue still occur.

3.if issue still occurs, create a new account by add user wizzard,on the
problematical client, disjoin domain, then use the new account rejoin the
domain, outlook profile should be ready, then test again to see if the new
account can send email by outlook on the problematical client.

then we can draw the conclusion if it is a client side issue. if so,please
post to public outlook newsgroup for further assistance. Thanks for your
understaning.

I appreciate your time. I am happy to be of assistance and look forward to
your reply.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,
