Re: Outlook Messages are not leaving exchange for one user

Tristan,

Try this, temporarily give the affected user administrative privileges so
you can find the stored user name info causing your problem. Go to Start ->
Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Advanced tab -> Manage Passwords. Note
that you cannot go in to this area without Admin privileges and you cannot
see them when you are logged in as another user. Once the incorrect stored
user creditentials are found and deleted, then remove Adminsitator
privileges and log as usual. This should solve your problem.

Hi,

Got a user today complaining that their mail is not reaching anyone. It
looks like some sort of authentication problem with Outlook and the
workstation he is using. Because if I use Outlook webaccess using his
account I can successfully send emails to internal and external contacts
no problem.

The actual machine username is kay and this new user still logs into the
workstation using her creditentials. But outlook is set up to have a new
profile with the correct username and password for this other user.

It has been working for the past few months, the only change we made was
renamed his username and email account as we were notified it was actually
not spelt correctly.

Things I've tried.

1. Deleted his outlook profile from local machine and recreated it.
2. Unjoined machine from domain and joined it again.

Neither of these things work, this is a list of the error messages:

Description:
Windows saved user PUBC\kay registry while an application or service was
still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.

This is often caused by services running as a user account, try
configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or
NetworkService account.
