The separate NIC adapters will go to separate switches/hubs, one is a 1Gbit

transfered thru the NIC with the 1 Gbit switch. The problem is that the
clients are only able to see the SBS if they connect thru the NIC which has
the same IP as the DNS server and DHCP server.
Any thoughts on how to fix it?
You can not have more than one NIC in the same subnet unless they are
teamed NIC's.
There is no way to separate "Large" files from "Small" files based on NIC.
Connect your single NIC to the GB switch, connect devices that use a LOT
of bandwidth to the GB Switch, connect the 10/100 switch to a single port
on the GB switch, put your non-demanding workstations on the 10/100 switch.
If you need more capacity, buy a managed switch that supports PORT
TRUNKING and a server quality NIC that also supports it, then you can
provide 2 x 1GB communications (not 2GB, but 2 x 1GB).
