Re: File Share issues

Hi,

Firstly, any shared folders should be shared from the server ;-).

If 'locations' doesn't show Entire Directory | yourdomain, then there is an issue. Some things to check....

Do the workstations show up in the Client Computers node SBS Standard Management?
Do the workstations show up in the correct AD container in ADUC?

Are the users logged onto the local computer, or the domain?
What OS is on the workstations?
Run "ipconfig /all" from a command prompt at the workstation, and post the results in a reply.

Greetings,

We are using WIN2k3 SBS. When trying to share files and folders between two
workstations, I check permissions and try to add users. Users from my domain
don't appear. When I check the "Select Users or Groups" window that appears,
I noticed that the "From this location" field lists my computer name. Isn't
this field supposed to list the domain? How would I change this?

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I checked the dnsmgmt on
the SBS and the computers aren't showing up in the Reverse Lookup Zones
section.

Any sugguestions?
