Roaming Profiles

I am doing an install at the moment and am having issues with roaming
profiles. I have setup a share "profiles" on the server and pointed all the
user accounts profile setting to \\<server>\profiles\<username> , the users
have access to the share and NTFS permissions. I have 4 machines 3 Acer
desktops (all identical in build running XP) and 1 dell laptop (running
vista). If I log onto one of the desktops, configure the users profile and
logout the <username> folder appears in my profiles directory (looks good).
However if I then log that user into one of the other desktops I have to set
everything up from scratch even though there seems to be a profile on the
server. I whilst logged on as the user I access the share I can create
folders files etc no problems so I don't think its a permissions problem.
This is driving me nuts now as I can see no reason for it not to work can
anybody offer any advice?

thanks

Gav
