Re: .notaccount Event 529 errors Related to Trend CSM 3.5

Trend tech support suggested I set the OfficeScan website to run under the
domain admin account instead of the anonymous account. I am uncomfortable
assigning Domain Admin rights to a website. The other SBS websites either
use the IUSR_SBS account for anonymous access or integrated authentication.
Any opinions? What if I assign that website to run with integrated
authentication? Even if I have to then run it as a domain admin, at least
that way I've been authenticated before I can get those privileges.

Ya'll are correct - logging onto the console produces a single failed
security event. Goes to show how often I log onto CSM, I guess ;-).

I've been seeing the Trend CSM 3.5 .notaccount login failures. Sure
enough, I just logged into the TM security console and the event log
shows the login failures.

I have an update (of sorts) regarding the security log error that the
Trend CSM 3.5 application has been logging from the .notaccount user. I
still have an open support ticket with Trend on this and have notified
them of what I discovered. Others that have been seeing the error may be
interested in doing a simple check to see if the same thing is happening
with your system. The event log records the 529 error from .notaccount
user when you logon to the web interface to manage the Trend application.
This happens from both the server and workstation. Just logon to the
interface, note the time in your workstation/server system clock and then
view the event log to see if one from .notaccount user appears.
