Error when trying to start the Sharepoint Central Administration service

I have a SBS 2003 R2 box which despite a hard disk failure the other
day is running well.

A user asked to upload a 55mb document to the companyweb.

I dived in to the Sharepoint Central Administration only to get a page
not found. Eventually tracked down that the service was started, but
when trying to start I get "The process cannot access the file because
it is being used by another process". Any ideas would be gratefully
recieved.

I have a website running on the box too. Companyweb otherwise is
running fine.
