Re: companyweb

Robert:

I just discovered something that might help us with this problem. I can
access companyweb from a client by going to https://companyweb. But why
won't http://companyweb work?

Hi,

Thanks for updating.

After comparing the IIS metabase from your machine and my test computer, I
found many difference, please try to change the setting of the virtual
directory.

Step 1: Check the settings of the virtual directory companyweb.

1. Open IIS snap-in.
2. Go to Servername->Web Sites->Companyweb
3. Right click Companyweb and click Properties.
4. Click Home Directory tab.
5. Please ensure you have input proper Local Path (C:\Inetpub\companyweb)
and also ensure the checkbox of Read, Log Visit and Index this resource are
checked.

And also ensure Application Settings as follows:
--Application Name: root
--Execute Permissions: Script only
--Application Pool: DefaultAppPool

6. Click Directory Security tab.
7. Click Edit under "Authentication and access control".
8. Make sure that only the option "Integrated Windows Authentication"
checked.
9. Click Edit under "IP address and domain name restriction".
10. Make sure that "Granted access" has been selected.
11. Click Edit under "Secure communications".
12. Make sure that "Ignore client certificates" is checked.
13. On the Web Site tab, make sure IP address is your Internal NIC's IP
such as 192.168.16.2, TCP port 80, SSL port 444.

14. Please double-check the default application pool in IIS. To do so:
1) Open IIS Manager.
2) Go to Server/Application Pools/DefaultAppPool.
3) Right click DefaultAppPool and click Properties.
4) Click the Identity tab.
5) Make sure the application pool is using "Predefined: Network Service" as
its identify.
14. Run IISReset command and check whether the problem persists.

Step 2: Please open the ISA2004 Management Console, in the left panel,
expand to Configuration->Networks. Under "Networks panel", double click
"Internal". Switch to "Web Proxy" panel, click "Authentication¡" and then
uncheck the "Require all users to authenticate" option. Then click the
Apply button to save the changes.

Step 3: Check the IE proxy setting.

1. Open IE.
2. Click Tools->Internet Options->Connections->Lan Settings.
3. Uncheck Bypass Proxy server for local address.
4. Check if the problem still occur.

I am looking forward to your update.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,
