Hi Larry,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that you want to setup another Windows 2003server on subnet 10.0.2.0 to apply application software to Windows XP and
Windows 2000 as they logon. If I am off-base, please don¡¯t hesitate to let
me know.
First, since some clients work in the remote site, when you run the Add
User Wizard for the remote users on the SBS 2003 server, don't assign
client applications such as Internet Explorer 6.0, Microsoft Office Outlook
2003 and Shared Fax Client to it. If you do so, this will cause huge
network traffic and the computers may lose response.
To do so:
1. Open Server Management, Expand to Client Computers.
2. Click Assign Applications Wizard and then click Next.
3.? Select the client computer which is used at the remote site, click?
Add, and then click next.
4. Uncheck Client Operation System Service Packs, Internet 6.0, Microsoft
Office Outlook 2003, Shared Fax Client and click Next.
5. Uncheck Install Collection Manager and Install Active Sync 3.7.
6. Click Next and then click Finish.
You can apply the following software on the subnet 10.0.2.0 using Group
Policy or logon script on the Windows server just as you did on subnet
10.0.1.0.
1. Client Operation System Service Packs
2. Internet 6.0
3. Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
4. Shared Fax Client
5. Collection Manager
6. Active Sync 3.7

<We have an SBS server at subnet 10.0.1.0 and a Win2003 server at subnet

<instead of

<The question is not so much how to make any given user use a different
login
<script; the question is what are the components that need to exist on the
