Hello Customer,
Thank you for kind update. And thanks for KJ's inputs.
KJ is correct, we can make all clients run specific application when the
user logon to the client machine via GPO. So I suggest after we set the IE
home page for all clients, we can modify the "Run these programs at user
logon" via Group Policy, and make all client computers open IE when user
logon. To do so:
1. Start Server Management console, extend Advanced Management->Group
Policy Management->Forest: domain.local->Domains->domain.local
2. Right-click the domain.local, and then click Create and Link a GPO Here.
3. Input the GPO name, click OK
4. Right click the new GPO in left pane, select Edit.
5. Expand User Configuration\Windows Settings\Internet Explorer
Maintenance\URLS\Important URLS
6. Double click Important URLS in right pane.
7. Tick Customize Home Page URL, and input the companyweb URL:
http://companyweb.
8. Click OK to complete the settings.
9. Expand Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon
10. Double click Run these programs at user logon in right pane.
11. Select Enabled, click Show button, click Add button and input:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
12. Click OK three times to complete the settings and exit the Group Policy
Editor.
13. Please run command gpupdate /force on the server and clients.
14. Log off and log on one time on clients, then test this issue.
Meanwhile, please ensure that all client computers join domain and log on
as domain users.
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Sorry, I guess I didnâ??t make my question clear.
|
| I need a web page, either companyweb or some other, to display at startup
of
| a client computer, preferably at the end.
|
| Changing the default homepage will not work since Iâ??ve found users
creating
| links in their desktop or quick links to other webpages, in effect
bypassing
| the default page completely.
