Is RWW the interface used by www.myweb/remote ?

(That's how I was initiating the remote desktop connection - and what I can
no longer do on the new network)

Or, why not just use RWW?

Hi,

I've been using RDP from work to connect to my SBS 2003 at home for a
few
years now, and I've become addicted to it.

The problem now, is that the company I work for has recently been
purchased
by another company, and apparently they are not as loose as my old
comany
was with regards to the internet.

I couldn't connect to port 4125 from the new network. So I did a test
and
found that I could get out of the new network and into my home
computer's
router on the SQL port, 1433.

So, I changed SQL port to 2433, and changed the RDP port from 4125 to
1433.

I can use RDP using 1433 on my old network. --- The new network and
the
old network are currently both active, but after a week the old one
will
be
gone altogether :(

But I still can't connect over the new network on 1433. Do I need an
additional port?

Anyone have any ideas? I still have this week that I can use to test
any
possible soultions. I have one laptop connected to my home on the old
network and one laptop that is on the new network that cannot currently
connect.

Thanks for any help!!

Steve

RDP requires only one port. If you've changed that port either the
change
didn't work (I've seen occasional problems with it) OR there's a
firewall
somewhere blocking that port.

What I would suggest is a better alternative - inquire if VPN is or can
be
made available. VPN is a much more secure way of doing things and will
allow you access to your remote desktop.
