As you have mentioned,There is nothing wrong with companyweb or sharepoint
except the errors you are getting in the Application log. Do you mean you
can access http://companyweb successfully? just show the errors in the
application log? How about the status of companyweb website now? It's
important and Please confirm with me. so we need some further clarification
regarding your exact issue.
