Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that you can not start the
Performance Logs and Alerts service. If I have misunderstood the problem,
please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, this issue can occur because logs and alerts cannot
be started from the Microsoft Management Console snap-in the Computer
Management tool when you start the Performance Logs and Alerts service. The
Performance Logs and Alerts service does not start when you start your
computer, it starts when a log or alert is started.
To resolve this issue, start your logs or alerts from the Microsoft
Management Console snap-in Performance Logs and Alerts:
1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools and
Performance, and then click Performance Logs and Alerts.
2. From the Microsoft Management Console snap-in Performance Logs and
Alerts you can open Counter Logs, Trace Logs, or Alerts. Note that if no
logs or alerts are present, right-click in the right-side pane, point to
New, and then create new Log/Alert settings.
3. Right-click the log or alert, click All Tasks, and then click Start.
Then you can open the Services console, you will find the Performance Logs
and Alerts service is started.
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
