Re: Recommended steps order for installing SBS 2003 R2

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

If I'm reading you correctly, you would just install the hardware firewall
first. Connect both network cards, one to the LAN and one to the hardware
firewall. Then run SBS setup, which will install all the components in the
correct order. When you're all finished with the whole install, start the
server and log in. The Server Management Console will come up, and you can
follow the steps on the To Do List. That will configure all the networking,
etc.

Some good reading before starting: go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/techinfo/productdoc/alpha.mspx
and get the R2 version of the release notes and the "Completing Setup for
Windows SBS 2003 R2 Premium Technologies. Get both Getting Started guides
(if I remember correctly, the R2 one refers to the original one. If not,
you only need R2).
