Re: Clean Uninstall of ISA Server 2004

When I say that the problem is *remote* updates I should perhaps explain
that the software update packages are on my workstation on the local network
and the target is another workstation on the local network.
So I know it isn't the Hardware firewall because it is outside my local
network. It only handles comm between us and the Outside World.
But... the workstation AV policies are managed by a policy manager service
that is running on the SBS server. So the ISA service - also running on the
SBS server - could be interfering between the Policy Manager Service and its
communications with the workstations.
Could it be the Windows Client Firewalls on the workstations that I am
trying to update ? Could be.
--------
So when I run the CEIWW I can just click somewhere to disable the ISA
firewall ?
TIA

says...
1. I have a hardware firewall between my ISP and my ADSL Modem.
2. I'm having problems doing remote client updates of AV (FSAV 2007)
software and once the techies at the AV support hear about my ISA
firewall
they ask me to disable it to see if the update works.
3. I'm not so hot when it comes to managing the ISA settings.
I would try the suggestions posted by Jeff and Steve first. But ...
Can you answer the original question, please.
You don't need to uninstall ISA. Just rerun the Configure E-mail and
Internet
Connection wizard and disable the firewall. Easier and safer.
