Hi Ben,

Thanks for posting here.

From the description, I understand the issue is that a user in the another
subnet can not access share folder and his mailbox on the SBS server. If I
am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.Please let me know what's the function about the two linux machine.

2.Please refer to the following KB article to make sure the AD and kerberos
related ports are opened in linux

Service overview and network port requirements for the Windows Server systemhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/832017/en-us

Application protocol Protocol Ports
Global Catalog Server TCP 3269
Global Catalog Server TCP 3268
LDAP Server TCP 389
LDAP Server UDP 389
LDAP SSL TCP 636
LDAP SSL UDP 636
IPsec ISAKMP UDP 500
NAT-T UDP 4500
RPC TCP 135
Kerberos TCP 88
Kerberos UDP 88

3.take the laptop to 10.4.*.* subnet, can it be working correctly?

4.if the user have not administrator privilege, please let him access common
share folder instead of C$.

5.can you have the linux guys check connectivity from there box on the 10.5
network to your server on port 88,389,3268,3269,445

I appreciate your time. I am happy to be of assistance and look forward to
your reply.

Have a nice day!
