Hi Chris,
Thanks for posting back.
Can I confirm with you on what is status of the issue, have it been
resloved? the application can be assigned successfully?
For your last question,by default,http://servername/connectcomputer join
the computer to the network and It adds the corresponding domain user to
the local administrators group,so please check the local administrators
membership to see if the domain user is there.
In SBS Server, while join a client computer to domain, we use the
<http://SBSServer/connectcomputer> page. During this process, you can add
users to the
client computer and select to join them to the local administrator group on
the client
computers.
additionally,You can do it by a simple script as following:
Net localgroup administrators [domain name]\domain users /add
Save the file as a .bat file, then open Domain Group Policy, open Computer
configuration\windows settings\scripts\startup, locate the bat file.
When client computer starts up, the command will be executed by system
account to add the domain users to local administrators group.
I appreciate your time. I am happy to be of assistance and look forward to
your reply.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Jacky Luo (MSFT)
