RE: Roaming Profiles prevent Folder redirect from working

Hi Ken,

Thanks for updating.

After researching you logs and MPS Report, I found the issue is related to
the group policy. At this point, please take the following trouble steps.

Step 1: Check if the problematic user exist in a group which the good uses
don't before to.

Step 2: Check the group policy.

1. Open the group policy you created for roaming profile.
2. Add the user the Security Group Membership of the policy.
3. Open the group policy you created for fold redirection.
4. Add the user the Security Group Membership of the policy.

Step 3: Logon the computer with administrator account, rename the
problematic user's folder such as c:\Documents and Settings\user1. Then log
off and logon again with the problematic account, will the same issue occur?

If the problem still exists, please kindly help me collect the following
information, which is very important to make the situation more clearly:

1. Right click My Documents on the problematic client and select the
Properties, what's the content in the Target box?

2. Run gpresult /v >c:\gpresult.txt under command prompt. Then send the
c:\gpresult.txt to me.

Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:
38069059-Roaming Profiles prevent Folder redirect from working.

Thanks for your time and cooperation.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

Have a nice weekend.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)
