This could be an ASP.NET issue. You can try running the aspnet_regiis.exe -i
from the command prompt to re-register ASP.NET in IIS

Hi brandon,.
Thanks for posting here.
From the description, I understand the issue is that companyweb site is
unavailable after you create a new website. If I am
off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
It seems it is not related to your new website.because after you delete the
new website, companyweb is still not working.
I.Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1.On the SBS server, click Start, click Run, type "services.msc" (without
the quotation marks) and press ENTER. Check the
Status of the MSSQL$SHAREPOINT service, is it listed as Started? If not,
start it.
2.On your SBS server, click Start, click Run, type "cmd" (without the
quotation marks) and click OK. Type the following
command and press ENTER:
OSQL -E -S SERVERname\SharePoint
If the database is successfully connected, you will get a prompt of "1>"
If not, please tell me the exact error message you get.
3. Check if the SharePoint instance is listening using shared memory. To do
so, locate the ERRORLOG file (the one that has no
extension) in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL$SHAREPOINT\LOG" folder. Open it with notepad. If SQL is
listening using shared memory, the log should look like as follows:
SQL server listening on Shared Memory.
SQL Server is ready for client connections.
4. Check file permissions on C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole
DB\oledb32.dll. Normally, the permissions should be as
follows:
Administrators: Full Control
SYSTEM: Full Control
Users: Read & Execute, Read
Also check if the permissions on the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\DBmsLPCn.dll
are as follows:
Administrators: Full Control
Authenticated Users: Read & Execute, Read
Server Operators: Modify, Read & Execute, Read, Write
SYSTEM: Full Control
5. Check out these Knowledge Base articles:

message when you access your Windows SharePoint
Services Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=833183

users do not receive e-mail notification when
content on the Web site changes in Windows SharePoint Services
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=900498
6.if issue persists, please try to Reinstall SHAREPOINT.
To safely uninstall SharePoint and the companyweb and install them back,
please follow this KB:
