Hi,
Thanks for help. It turned out that the reason was script's folder
security. It was set so taht only Guest can read it!!! Additionaly the
Guest account is disabled :-)
The rest of settings are ok (it means they are like You said they
should be).
Admin belongs to required groups, users are in: | <SBS internal
domain> | MyBusiness | Users | SBSUsers.
But I still have some questions. I can execute scripts on client
computer while loging in - that is easy.
But how to execute script/program on logout??
I also found Tab Enviroment where I can specify the program started at
logon. I used it and it doesn't work. Does it refers to program
starting on server on client's machine??
In user's properties there is a tab: "Profile" where I can set login
script and Profile Path.
As I checked using profile path cause that user's setting are stored
in the spcified folder, which enables
users to move on different machines keeping their settings. While
logging taking settings from specified
path (remote) the "All Users" settings are added. I mean that if I
create me account and than use it on the
other machine my files and settings are loaded, but also local
settings for "All Users" form local machine.
Can I disable it, or I have to change the client machines settings??
The next quession (sorry) is executing programs/sending a
message on client computer.
Say I have a script on server (C++ program) which checks every 15
minutes in SQL server whether there are any new tasks for specified
users. If yes the client should get at least some message (or better -
some software should be executed). It is possible with net send, but
then I have to know machine name/IP addres to send the message and the
problem is that users in our company changes their computers very
often.
Is it possible to send a message (in any way) to speciefied USER, not
machine (or execute program on USER's machine)??
Once again Thanks You and sorry for so many questions.
Regards
Chris

Thanks for help. I will check it on Monday (I cannot connect my server
remotly, because I live on a campus and the admins blocked this kind
of connections).
I know history a little bit. The acounts ware made by previous admin
and he was changin them without any problesm whenever somone new was
comming to company.
I contacted him and he tried again - now he cannnot create them also.
Something must have happened somewhere to change something.
To create users I was logged in as built-in administrator. So did he.
I'm not really good in Windows Servers so it can take me long time to
check what You suggested.
1. To check the security groups Administrator belongs to:
- In SBS Server Management, go to the Users page.
- Select Administrator then click the Change User Properties link.
- In Administrator Properties, click the Member Of tab; this will
display the security groups Administrator belongs to.
2. To check where the user accounts have been placed:
- In SBS Server Management, navigate to Advanced Management | Active
Directory Users and Computers | <SBS internal domain> | MyBusiness |
Users | SBSUsers.
- See what is displayed in the right window pane.
I was usually usin Unix servers. In Unix if I'm root I can do
everything I want.
On Windows servers that's mostly true for Administrator.
The logs says that wizard cannot create Login Scripts. Where are those
scripts usually placed?? Maybe in some way the read/write rights of
this folder ware changed?? Why wizard during execution doesn't provide
morre detailed logs?? Can i changed it??
The standard SBS login script (SBS_LOGIN_SCRIPT.bat) is in
C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\<SBS internal domain>\scripts
It is shared as NETLOGON. On my server, all the NTFS permissions are
inherited from higher level folders. The NETLOGON share permissions are
Administrators=Full Control and Everyone=Read.
