Hi Kevin
Could this be the issue / solution

Seriously though you should consider switching to SMTP.
POP3 doesn't support BCC, how many have you lost? Also searching this NG will find many emails lost via pop3

I am running SBS 2003 with a POP3 connection to an external ISP to retrieve
external email. Until two day ago everything worked fine. For some reason
external email was not getting delivered to my users inboxes. It appears
that the Imbdownl.exe or Imbdlvr.exe processes are not ending. When I reboot
the server the POP3 connector works (in this case work for about 48 hours)
then the problem occurs again. There has been no changes to the server in
the past few weeks.
Here is the first warning message I receive in the event logs after a
successful POP3 Connector download.
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: POP3 Connector
Event Category: General
Event ID: 1007
Date: 2/28/2007
Time: 11:00:43 PM
User: N/A
Computer: COXSRV01
Description:
The download and delivery processes may still be running after 4 hour(s).
If either the Imbdownl.exe or Imbdlvr.exe processes are still running and
you are not receiving POP3 e-mail, use Task Manager to end the process.
What would cause this to happen and how do I fix it?
